How Do I Understand????

Our Lord Understands

Who was John the Baptist to Jesus? Is Jesus some super God of no value, of no attachment, of no appreciation? I know, that’s EXTREME, but don’t we see it a little like that even though we might not want to admit it sometimes? Didn’t Jesus have to deal with every sin and temptation that we do and He being more pure human than we are???? What about the values God has redeemed in us? Are they flippant, not really worth much? There can be hurt, there is loss. Even though–we might think it is because of God or not, in His redemption HE SAVES. We have great value in us because of Christ, some of us have great pain, and doubt because of hurt from something that really happened or from just our minds trying to justify something. And so we lose our ability to care and we try to self generate through judgment or mental ascent. Which is not by His Cross and His spirit life imparted into us.

John the Baptist Beheaded

1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the report about Jesus 2 and said to his servants, ?This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.? 3 For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip?s wife. 4 Because John had said to him, ?It is not lawful for you to have her.? 5 And although he wanted to put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
6 But when Herod?s birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod. 7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask.

8 So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, ?Give me John the Baptist?s head here on a platter.?

9 And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her. 10 So he sent and had John beheaded in prison. 11 And his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother. 12 Then his disciples came and took away the body and buried it, and went and TOLD JESUS.

Feeding the Five Thousand

13 “When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself.”

You ever have a favorite family member that brings you honor to know, not a pride of possession, but they are full of such goodness? John was about 6 months Jesus’ senior, He was the son of a priest in the levitical priesthood, his father is Zechariah. John probably lived in the desert with his family and then by himself for the same reason Joseph and Mary fled to Egypt. You don’t think Herod didn’t hear about the miracle baby of the priest and his wife who were too old to bear children. You don’t think that maybe this mad man thought that John was the messiah. That’s probably one reason why He grew up in the wilderness. The spirit of Elijah was upon him, John never did any miracles like Elijah, except for the BIGGEST ONE OF ALL; HE CALLED ALL OF ISRAEL TO REPENTANCE FROM ISRAEL’S SIN TO THE GOD OF HEAVEN , AND FROM THE FALSE GODS TO THE GOD OF THEIR FATHERS. Do you think that Jesus knew about John and that he was his Cousin and a righteous man of the kingdom of which Jesus would die and bring to pass? Do you think Jesus was human too or IS He is just some kind of super God robot.

13 “……But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. 14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. 15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, ?This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.?

16 But Jesus said to them, ?They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.?
17 And they said to Him, ?We have here only five loaves and two fish.?

18 He said, ?Bring them here to Me.? 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children. “

Do you have enough compassion in you when YOU are THREATENED–MAKE THIS IN REAL LIFE SO YOU CAN RECEIVE FROM GOD, OR YOUR CHILDREN THREATENED IN ANY WAY!!!!! DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU OR IS IT JUST AN IDEA????? TO FORGIVE, TO LET GOD THROUGH HIS FORGIVENESS SETTLE JUDGMENT AND NOT START CURSING WHEN YOU GET HURT AND THREATENED. DO YOU THINK JESUS IS GOD AND HUMAN AND HAD TO DEAL WITH EVERY TEMPTATION/REAL HURTS AND PAIN THAT ANY PERSON HAS TO-I HAVE TO SAY EVEN MORE HUMAN BECAUSE HE WAS PURE HUMAN? DID HE BEAR THE SIN AND DISEASES, HURTS AND PAINS ON THE CROSS.

YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO RECEIVE HEALING IF YOU DON’T THINK GOD UNDERSTANDS SOMETIMES, THAT HE IS GOING TO TAKE IT FROM YOU AND HE CAN BEAR IT RIGHT!!!! AND HE CAN HELP YOU BEAR IT TILL YOU COME OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE NOT IN SHAME OF DEFEAT AND NOT OF PLATITUDE OF BELIEF. BUT IN THE SPIRIT OF A SON OF GOD FULL OF GLORY TO THE FATHER!

Jesus Walks on the Sea

22 “Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.”

Are you alone, yet only you and God can get this settled? It’s never about any other man, even of the good that you lose in your LIFE. It’s not about that! It’s about a God WHO BEARS ALL to give you HIS LIFE. That was all paid by a CROSS. TO REDEEM YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE HIS CHILD. CAN YOU LET HIM TAKE AWAY THE HATRED, THE SIN THAT IS REAL THAT WE COVER UP IN PLATITUDES OF FAITH, OF FEAR, OF DOUBT. HOPELESSNESS. OR IS OUR VENGEANCE GOING TO MAKE US FEEL RIGHT! OR MAYBE OUR SELF PITY EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS TO DEATH IF WE LOOK AT IT TOO LONG IN OURSELVES.

24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
25 “Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.”

Keep watching for Him, keep watching Jesus even if He doesn’t seem to be the same!!!!! Keep watching Him not your pain, your sin, your fear. Look at Him and what HE WANTS!

26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, ?It is a ghost!? And they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ?Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.?
28 And Peter answered Him and said, ?Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.?
29 So He said, ?Come.? And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, ?Lord, save me!?
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, ?O you of little faith, why did you doubt?? 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, ?Truly You are the Son of God.?

Jesus lost the one who preached the Kingdom and had the Spirit of God with HIM to bring us to a place to receive the King. John was MURDERED. Everybody thinks Jesus knew everything all the time in the future. I don’t think so. His Father in heaven would let Him know as needed. And Jesus had to spend time alone with His father – sent His disciples away for some time. He got so much settled in Him of the Divine Life of Who HE IS with HIS FATHER that HE even looked different. He came walking on the water in a storm so much in HIM of the Glory, THE life of God that the disciples couldn’t even recognize Him. We need to let God takes us to the release of HIS LIFE THAT HE TRANSFERS TO US BECAUSE WE CAN LET HIM BEAR OUR SINS, HURTS, PAINS, DOUBTS, FEARS BECAUSE HE UNDERSTANDS AND HE BEAT THEM SO WE KNOW THAT HE CAN BEAT THEM IN US AND HE UNDERSTANDS, LET HIM COMMUNICATE TO US MORE FULLY SO WE CAN FIND OUR WAY OUT.

ARE YOU GOING TO BE ABLE TO SAY, NOT OUT OF JUST BELIEF BUT OUT OF EXPERIENCE OF CHANGE IN YOU, “TRULY YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD!”
